We are pleased to introduce an innovative idea that will make hiking even more accessible and exciting. We are ready to change the way we organize hiking tours and enable you to enjoy them in a completely new way! Our idea is simple - we organize hiking trips using private vehicles, where participants share the travel costs according to the departure location. Whether you are starting from Belgrade or Novi Sad, this option allows you to reduce transportation costs and enjoy socializing. Best of all, the hiking tour price will be separate from the transportation costs, meaning you can adjust your budget and choose the tours that appeal to you the most. This concept allows you to explore different mountain peaks, landscapes, and trails according to your interests and capabilities.

WHAT ARE WE PLANNING? Mystical Eastern Serbia... Rocks a bit sharper, as if from much higher altitudes; without the ancient forests, it would be challenging to distinguish. Caves here and there, water sometimes cold, sometimes thermal... A bomb for those ready for adventure.

PROGRAM

10.02.2024. NOVI SAD - BELGRADE - GORNJAK MONASTERY - MALI VUKAN - VELIKI VUKAN - ŽDRELO

ROUTE LENGTH: 12 km DIFFICULTY: CHALLENGING

Departure from NOVI SAD and BELGRADE in the early morning. The first stop will be GORNJAK MONASTERY, nestled deep in the Gornjačka gorge, right on the Mlava riverbank, surrounded by vertical cliffs of the surrounding mountains. After a short break to visit the monastery, we start our hike, passing through a magical forest dotted with moss, occasionally catching a glimpse of the Gornjačka gorge from various angles. We climb MALI VUKAN, then, via a spectacular ridge, reach VELIKI VUKAN. The descent is equally interesting, as the trail takes us through ancient coniferous forests towards ŽDRELO. A thermal water spa awaits us just around the corner, and you can imagine how we envision the rest of the day!

11.02.2024. ŽDRELO - VELIKI BUK WATERFALL - RESAVA CANYON VIEWPOINT - BELJANICA PEAK - BELGRADE - NOVI SAD

ROUTE LENGTH: 16.5 km DIFFICULTY: CHALLENGING

In the early morning, we leave the accommodation and drive to VELIKI BUK WATERFALL, which will also be the starting point of our hike to BELJANICA. Shortly after the start, we'll come across a spectacular VIEWPOINT ON THE RESAVA CANYON, reminding us of the well-known Lazarev Canyon with its grandeur. Then we continue towards the highest peak of the mountain, well-hidden under deciduous and coniferous canopies. In the upper parts of the mountain, the view opens up to the entire Homolje region, and the sheer size of these wild landscapes will leave us breathless. We'll have the luck to absorb these vast expanses during almost the entire descent, as we return by a different route, gently dotted with conifers. After returning to the starting point, we'll take a break for those who might want to eat something in a local restaurant, and all that remains is the road back to BELGRADE and NOVI SAD.

WHAT TO BRING FOR HIKING?

• A smile, good spirits, as well as good health.
• Plenty of water, a minimum of 2L per walk, snacks, refreshments for ascents, and walks that await us.
• Food, fruit, snacks, sweets for occasional breaks during walks.
• Comfortable and sturdy, appropriate footwear for nature walks.
• If you already have a favorite walking stick, bring it; if not, nature may hide your new favorite.
• Cap/hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, whatever you think would protect you in case of strong sun.
• Spare/change of clothes, warm and dry cover within reach, after each walk.
• Swimsuit, towel, slippers.

IMPORTANT NOTES!!!

• The number of registrations will be limited, and the right to attend the trip is EXCLUSIVELY reserved for members of the HIKING TS MOUNTAINEERING SOCIETY (Contact us for details regarding membership and purchasing stamps for the year 2024) or any mountaineering society within the PSS, as well as members of the EKOTOPIA association.
• As part of the participation fee, participants receive accommodation, guidance, and the entire organization.
• Transportation is NOT included and is additionally paid depending on the number of participants.
• Organizers reserve the right to change the program due to unforeseen circumstances, inability to access certain sections, or even trip cancellation.
• When registering, please provide the number of people, their names, phone numbers, and the departure location for the trip, along with confirmation of membership in our organization. After registration and payment, due to the proximity of the event, canceling accommodation will be impossible, but potential replacement of a registered person will be possible.
• In case of cancellation or non-appearance, a refund is not possible.
• The tour is NOT recommended for individuals with heart or any other conditions that physical activity may adversely affect.
• Please be ACCURATE AND PUNCTUAL regarding the departure time, but on the other hand, let's not rigidly stick to the scheduled duration of the walk.
