They say there is a colorful village at the end of a gravel road, they say a huge canyon beneath it guards the rapid waters of the Rakitnica... They say there the softest grass sprouts from the stones, join us if you're interested in the rest of this story...

Upon arriving in the magical LUKOMIR, we are expected to have a circular hike during which we will have the opportunity to enjoy the grandeur of the RAKITNICA CANYON with views towards Visočica, Prenj, and other Bosnian mountains, after which we will be able to dip our feet in STUDENI STREAM and prepare for the ascent to the peak of OBALJ, which represents the crown of the entire route...

June 30, 2024. LUKOMIR - VISOČICA - BELGRADE - NOVI SAD

ROUTE LENGTH: 12km
ALTITUDE DIFFERENCE: 500M
DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM

In the early morning hours, we leave the accommodation and drive to VISOČICA, where we expect a hike on the softest grass interspersed with real Dinaric sharp stone. Along the way, we may encounter the occasional Bogomil stećak, while the main attraction is the ridge part from which the view extends to Treskavica, Bjelašnica, Prenj, and other Dinaric gems... If there is anywhere the soul of Bosnia lies, it is in these hills!

The plan is to descend to the small village of Tušila where, after a lunch break, we will gently head back to BELGRADE and NOVI SAD.
