WHAT'S THE PROGRAM?

November 1-2, 2024: NOVI SAD - BELGRADE - NJEGOŠ MAUSOLEUM - DESCENT THROUGH KOTOR SERPENTINE - KOTOR

ELEVATION DIFFERENCE: 900 m DESCENT!
DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM

Departure on November 1 from NOVI SAD and BELGRADE in the evening (Exact time and place will be announced a few days before the trip) and a smooth ride towards Montenegro.

In the morning, we arrive at LOVĆEN NATIONAL PARK and the famous NJEGOŠ MAUSOLEUM, perched like an eagle's nest above the stunning BAY OF KOTOR! After visiting, we take a short drive to the old road once used by locals to transport salt and prosciutto between KOTOR and NJEGUŠI and gradually zigzag our way down to KOTOR, captivated by the beauty of the bay, with a special focus on MOUNT VRMAC, which eagerly awaits us the next day! The magic lasts until the very end of the hike, and the experience will be hard to erase from our memories.

After the hike, we head to our accommodation and prepare for a good rest by the sea!

November 3, 2024: KOTOR - VRMAC - TIVAT - BELGRADE - NOVI SAD

We pack our things in the bus and drive to the base of VRMAC HILL, located in the heart of the most beautiful Montenegrin bay - the BAY OF KOTOR! We can expect a true Mediterranean-pine hike, during which we'll encounter a few Austrian fortifications and some of the most beautiful viewpoints over the bay. We breathe in the salty air, soak our eyes in the blue expanse, and gradually descend into TIVAT, where we'll take a break for lunch before heading back to BELGRADE and NOVI SAD, where we'll arrive in the night between November 3 and 4.

WHAT DO WE USUALLY BRING FOR HIKING?

- A smile, good spirits, and good health.
- Plenty of water, at least 2L per hike, snacks for multiple meals, refreshments for the climbs and walks ahead.
- Comfortable and sturdy, suitable footwear for nature walks, comfortable clothing.
- If you already have your favorite hiking stick, bring it, and if not, nature will hide your new favorite.
- Hat/cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, anything you think will protect you in case of strong sun.
- Raincoat, spare/change of clothes, warm and dry outfit within reach after each hike.

IMPORTANT NOTES!

- The number of registrations will be limited, and the right to participate in the trip is EXCLUSIVELY for members of the HTS MOUNTAINEERING SOCIETY (MB: 28748817) (Contact us for details on membership and purchase of 2024 stamps) or any mountaineering society within the PSS.
- Fee: 3,500 RSD (Transportation, to be paid into the association's account upon registration) and 60 EUR (To be given during the trip for accommodation costs, parking, tolls).
- The entrance fees for NP LOVĆEN (3 EUR) and NJEGOŠ MAUSOLEUM (8 EUR) are NOT included in the fee.
- The organizers reserve the right to change the program due to unforeseen circumstances, inaccessibility of certain sections, or even cancel the trip.
- Please send us the number of people, their names, phone numbers, and place of departure along with confirmation of membership in our organization when registering. Once registered and payment is made, due to the proximity of the event, it will be impossible to cancel transportation and accommodation, and therefore refund the money, but a replacement of the registered person will of course be possible.
- This trip does not include protection in terms of travel guarantees in accordance with Article 86, Paragraph 3 of the Tourism Law.
- The tour is NOT recommended for people with heart conditions or any other ailments that could be adversely affected by physical activity.
- We kindly ask everyone to be PRECISE AND PUNCTUAL regarding the departure time, and on the other hand, not to stick too rigidly to the schedule for the duration of the hike.
