ITINERARY

24–25.07.2026.

NOVI SAD – BELGRADE – THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LAKES OF PIRIN
(Muratovo Lake, Ribno Lake, Dalgoto/Dugo Lake, and Frog Lake)

ROUTE LENGTH: 16 km
ELEVATION GAIN: 700 m
DIFFICULTY: MODERATE TO CHALLENGING

Departure from Novi Sad and Belgrade on the evening of July 24th.
(Exact departure time and meeting point will be announced a few days before the trip.)

After a relaxed overnight drive toward Bulgaria, we arrive near Bansko in the early morning, and the bus takes us deeper into the mountain.

Since Pirin is famous as the “mountain of a hundred lakes,” we decided to spend our first day hiking a fantastic circular route that passes by some of its most famous and beautiful lakes. First comes Muratovo Lake, followed by Ribno Lake, then Dalgoto (Long) Lake, and finally Frog Lake.

It is difficult to say which one is the most beautiful, as all of them are nestled among the rocky peaks of Pirin and filled with crystal-clear water!

After finishing the hike, we head to our accommodation for some well-deserved rest.

26–27.07.2026.

ASCENT OF VIHREN (2914 m) – BELGRADE – NOVI SAD

ROUTE LENGTH: 15 km
ELEVATION GAIN: 1250 m
DIFFICULTY: CHALLENGING

In the morning, we leave the accommodation and begin our hike.

Today, we climb the second-highest peak in Bulgaria and one of the highest peaks in the Balkans — the magnificent Vihren awaits us!

The ascent is fairly demanding, with rocky terrain and several exposed sections, but the reward waiting for us at the summit is truly beyond words. After enjoying the views, we begin a careful and steady descent.

Once the hike is completed, we take a lunch break before heading back toward Belgrade and Novi Sad, where arrival is expected late in the evening.
