**WHAT ARE WE PLANNING?**
One of the longest Dinaric mountains awaits us, but it’s not just its length that makes it special—its orientation runs parallel to the sea, and that’s where the real charm lies! Let’s explore a part of the most well-maintained trail on Velebit, along with some of its best sea-view vantage points! We’re heading to the coast, to breathe in that salty sea air!

**WHAT'S THE PROGRAM?**
**October 18-19, 2024: BELGRADE – NOVI SAD – HIKE TO VELIKI SADIKOVAC – KARLOBAG (or nearby)**
**ROUTE LENGTH:** 10 km
**ELEVATION GAIN:** 450 m
**DIFFICULTY:** MEDIUM
Departure on October 18 from BELGRADE and NOVI SAD in the evening (exact time and place will be announced a few days before the trip), followed by a leisurely drive towards Croatia.
We’ll arrive in Baške Oštarije in the early morning hours and start our hike to one of the more accessible and attractive peaks of Central Velebit—Veliki Sadikovac! From there, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the beautiful blue Adriatic Sea and the island of Pag, and on a clear day, you can even see all the way to Italy! A feast for the eyes and a perfect relaxation after the journey.
After the hike, we’ll descend to the coast to spend the rest of the day relaxing to the sound of the waves and the soothing scent of salt in the air.
**October 20-21, 2024: KARLOBAG – PREMUŽIĆ TRAIL (First section from Zavižan to Alan) – NOVI SAD – BELGRADE**
**ROUTE LENGTH:** 16 km
**ELEVATION GAIN:** 400 m
**DIFFICULTY:** MEDIUM
In the morning, we’ll leave our accommodation and drive to the Zavižan mountain lodge, which will serve as the starting point for our hike.
This time, we’ll follow perhaps the most scenic part of the famous Premužić Trail, passing through forests and meadows, admiring the unusual shapes of Velebit’s rocks, carved over centuries by the power of wind and winter rains. Above us, the proud Rožanski and Hajdučki kukovi peaks, and along the way, we’ll encounter several other peaks offering views of the sea and the surroundings!
The hike will end at the Alan mountain hut, after which we’ll take a break for lunch and then head back towards Serbia, where we’re expected to arrive in the early morning hours of the following day.
**WHAT DO WE USUALLY BRING FOR HIKING?**
- A smile, good spirits, and good health.
- Plenty of water, at least 2L per hike, snacks, refreshments for the climbs and walks ahead.
- Food, fruit, snacks, sweets for breaks during the hikes.
- Comfortable, sturdy, and appropriate footwear for walking in nature.
- If you have a favorite hiking stick, bring it along, but if not, nature hides your new favorite.
- Cap/hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, or anything you consider necessary to protect yourself from strong sun.
- Spare/change of clothes, warm and dry clothes within reach after each hike.
- Swimsuit, towel, flip-flops.
**IMPORTANT NOTES!!!**
- The number of registrations will be limited, and only members of the MOUNTAINEERING CLUB HTS (MB: 28748817) (Contact us for details regarding membership and purchasing 2024 membership cards) or any mountaineering club within the PSS are eligible to participate.
- Registration fee: 5,300 RSD (for transportation, to be paid to the association's account upon registration) and 70 EUR (to be paid during the trip for accommodation, parking, and toll fees).
- The registration fee DOES NOT include: Entrance ticket to the Northern Velebit National Park at a price of 5 EUR.
- Organizers reserve the right to change the program due to unforeseen circumstances, inability to access certain sections, or even cancel the trip.
- Please send us the number of people, their names, phone numbers, and departure location along with confirmation of membership in our organization when registering. Due to the proximity of the event, it will be impossible to cancel transportation and accommodation after registration and payment, so refunds will not be available, but a potential replacement of the registered person will be possible.
- This trip does not provide protection in terms of travel guarantees according to Article 86, Paragraph 3 of the Tourism Law.
- The tour is NOT recommended for people with heart conditions or any other ailments that may be adversely affected by physical activity.
- Please be PRECISE AND PUNCTUAL regarding departure times, but at the same time, don’t stick too rigidly to the hiking schedule.
