On the border between Bosnia and Croatia lies the Una River, famous for the most beautiful cascading waterfalls in the Balkans…
But very close by, there is another water spectacle — Plitvice Lakes!
There are no real words that can fully describe this play of water and stone, which is why we will have to experience this natural wonder visually!

WHAT IS THE PROGRAM?

27–28.02.2026.

NOVI SAD – BELGRADE – VELIKI SLAP – LOWER LAKES CANYON – PRŠTAVCI WATERFALLS

• Route length: 11.5 km
• Elevation gain: 200 m
• Difficulty: Moderate

Departure on 27.02.2026 from Novi Sad and Belgrade in the evening hours
(exact time and location will be announced a few days before departure), followed by a relaxed drive toward Croatia.

In the early morning hours, we arrive at Plitvice Lakes National Park and begin this intoxicating hike.
At the very start, we encounter VELIKI SLAP (The Great Waterfall), which announces a true adventure.
We then continue gently along the lake shore toward the PRŠTAVCI WATERFALLS, which will leave us breathless!
After that, we cross to the opposite side of the lakes and complete this perfect Plitvice loop.

After visiting the waterfalls, we head to our accommodation in Bihać or the surrounding area.

BIHAĆ – ŠTRBAČKI BUK – BELGRADE – NOVI SAD

• Elevation gain: 500 m
• Difficulty: Moderate

We pack our things into the bus and continue exploring Una National Park.

After a short drive, we begin a hike through a beautiful centuries-old forest along a well-trodden gravel path, followed by a visit to the most famous waterfall system known as ŠTRBAČKI BUK.
Here we will experience the full power of the Una River and observe its most beautiful cascades from various viewpoints.

To finish, we take a lunch break and say goodbye to this crystal-clear mountain beauty, then head back toward Belgrade and Novi Sad.

WHAT DO WE USUALLY BRING FOR HIKING?

• A smile, good spirit, and good health
• Plenty of water — minimum 2 L per hike, snacks from your backpack for multiple meals, energy food for climbs and walks
• Comfortable and sturdy footwear suitable for nature walks, comfortable clothing
• If you already have your favorite hiking pole, bring it — if not, nature may hide your new favorite one
• Cap/hat, sunglasses, sunscreen — whatever you feel will protect you from strong sun
• Rain jacket, spare clothes, warm and dry change of clothes easily accessible after each hike

IMPORTANT NOTES!!!

• The number of participants is limited, and participation is EXCLUSIVELY available to members of the Hiking Association HTS (Registration No: 28748817)
  (Contact us for details regarding membership and the purchase of 2026 hiking stamps)
  or any hiking club within the PSS system
• The participation fee of 99 EUR (11,615 RSD) is paid to the association’s bank account upon registration
• Entrance fees are NOT included in the participation fee:
  • Plitvice Lakes: approx. 10 EUR per person
  • Štrbački Buk: approx. 3 EUR
• Organizers reserve the right to modify the program due to unforeseen circumstances, inaccessible sections, or even to cancel the trip
• When registering, please send:
  number of participants, full names, phone numbers, place of departure, and proof of membership in our organization
• Due to the proximity of the event date, after registration and payment, cancellation of transport and accommodation is not possible, and therefore refunds cannot be issued; however, replacement of a registered participant is possible
• This trip does not include travel insurance guarantees in accordance with Article 86, Paragraph 3 of the Tourism Law
• The tour is NOT recommended for individuals with heart conditions or any other health issues that could be adversely affected by physical activity
• Please be PRECISE AND PUNCTUAL regarding departure times, but do not strictly adhere to the estimated duration of the hikes
