WHAT’S THE PROGRAM?

SEPTEMBER 5–6, 2025

NOVI SAD – BELGRADE – TJENTIŠTE – ZELENGORA HIKE (OPTIONAL)

  • Route Length: 10 km

  • Elevation Gain: 400 m

  • Difficulty: Moderate

Departure on the evening of September 5 from Novi Sad and Belgrade (exact time and location will be shared a few days before departure), followed by a smooth ride to Sutjeska National Park.

We will arrive early in the morning at Tjentište, located in the heart of NP Sutjeska and accessible by bus. From there, a local transport via gravel road will take us into the mystical Zelengora mountain range.

If anyone chooses not to hike, they can stay in Tjentište and enjoy swimming in the largest outdoor pool in the Balkans, filled with fresh mountain water from the Sutjeska River.

Due to its remoteness, Zelengora has remained the best-kept secret of NP Sutjeska. With about twenty glacial lakes and endless green highland meadows, it enchants at first sight. We will have the chance to ascend Uglješin Peak and admire the view of Gornje Bare Lake, followed by a scenic ridge trail with continuous views of the imposing Maglić, from its base to its summit.

After the hike, we head to our accommodation for rest...

SEPTEMBER 7–8, 2025

TJENTIŠTE – TRNOVAČKO LAKE HIKE (OPTIONAL) – BELGRADE – NOVI SAD

  • Route Length: 10 km

  • Elevation Gain: 600 m

  • Difficulty: Moderate

In the morning, we leave our accommodation and head via local transport along a gravel road above Perućica, the largest primeval forest in the Balkans, to Prijevor, our hike’s starting point.

Reaching Prijevor is a privilege in itself, located just a few kilometers below the highest peak of Maglić, surrounded by peaks over 2000 meters.

What follows is 5 km of pure hiking bliss – through colorful meadows and the soothing shade of pine trees – leading us to the heart-shaped jewel: Trnovačko Lake.

There we’ll enjoy rest and relaxation by the shore, with an option to dip our feet in the glacial waters, surrounded by the loving arms of Maglić and Volujak mountains.

We return the same way back to Prijevor, then descend to Tjentište with a break for lunch and a celebration of our achievement.

Return to Serbia is planned during the night, arriving in the early morning hours the next day.
