This time, we've decided to take a slightly different walk. The main difference is that, instead of height, we'll be exploring depth! The plan is to take a unique circuit around Petrovaradin Fortress, including a part beneath it!

WHEN DO WE START?

GATHERING AND DEPARTURE AT THE CLOCK ON THE FORTRESS ON SUNDAY, 24.03.2024. AT 10 AM

WHAT IS THE WALK PROGRAM?

We start the walk in front of one of Novi Sad's symbols, the famous CLOCK, which has been overlooking the lives of Novi Sad residents for centuries, reminding them that time is indeed fleeting.

After a brief introduction to the fortress's history, we'll stroll to the Academy of Arts, behind which hides the entrance to the famous Petrovaradin TUNNELS. We'll have the opportunity to make a short circuit through these mysterious labyrinths, during which we'll at least somewhat grasp the complexity and genius of their builders.

The exit from the tunnels awaits us near the former Bastion, and from there, we walk to the beautiful PETRUS EQUESTRIAN CLUB.

After enjoying the equestrian club, the rest of the walk takes us along the fortress walls with incredible views of the Danube and Novi Sad.

HOW LONG DOES THE WALK TAKE?

The projected path is about 6 km, and to complete it entirely, we'll need about 2 hours of walking, including several short breaks, making this route excellent for recreational walkers and beginners.

WHAT DO WE USUALLY BRING FOR HIKING?

• A smile, good spirits, and good health; masks and gloves are not mandatory in nature as we will adhere to the recommended distance.
• At least 1 liter of water, usually more.
• Comfortable and sturdy walking shoes.
• Snacks, sandwiches, fruit, lunch—whatever you desire in nature, you can eat without guilt.
• If you already have a favorite walking stick, bring it; if not, nature may hide your new favorite.
• Cap/hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, whatever you deem appropriate.
• Spare/change of clothes.

IMPORTANT NOTES!!!

• The number of registrations will be limited, and the right to attend the trip is EXCLUSIVELY reserved for members of the HTS MOUNTAINEERING SOCIETY (Contact us for details regarding membership and purchasing stamps for the year 2024) or any mountaineering society within the PSS, as well as members of the EKOTOPIA association.
• As part of the participation fee, participants receive guidance through the fortress and tunnels, as well as the entire organization.
• Organizers reserve the right to change the program due to unforeseen circumstances, inability to access certain sections, or even trip cancellation.
• When registering, please provide the number of people, their names, phone numbers, and the departure location for the trip, along with confirmation of membership in our organization. After registration and payment, due to the proximity of the event, canceling transportation and refunding money will be impossible, but potential replacement of a registered person will be possible.
• The tour is NOT recommended for individuals with heart or any other conditions that physical activity may adversely affect.
• Please be ACCURATE AND PUNCTUAL regarding the departure time, but on the other hand, let's not rigidly stick to the scheduled duration of the walk.
• We kindly ask all participants in our walks to bring ONLY POSITIVE VIBES, A CHEERFUL SPIRIT, AND GOOD MOOD. See you there!
