Since we are big fans of cozy and hidden places, we decided to organize a trip to Lukovska Banja to enjoy its thermal pools. In addition, we will wander around Kopaonik, visit one of the only two geysers Serbia has to offer, and on our way back we will go for a hike on the most forested mountain of our beautiful country!

NOVI SAD – BELGRADE – GEYSER & HERMITAGE OF METOĐE – LUKOVSKA BANJA
Route length: 10 km (5 km + 5 km)
Elevation gain: 400 m
Difficulty: Easy
We depart on October 31 from Novi Sad and Belgrade in the evening (exact time and place will be announced a few days before departure) and take a smooth ride towards Lukovska Banja.
In the early morning we arrive at Kopaonik, where a calm and pleasant hike awaits us. First, we will cross several small bridges over streams and then reach one of Serbia’s two geysers. Unlike some abroad, this geyser is constantly active, with water reaching about three meters high.
We continue our hike to the Hermitage of Metođe, hidden in a small cave, with a spring of healing water of excellent taste. After a short rest and refreshment directly from the rock, we return to the bus.
We then head to Lukovska Banja, nestled deep in the forests at the foot of Kopaonik and known for its high-quality thermal waters. We’ll first hike to a viewpoint above the Church of St. George, and then spend the afternoon relaxing and bathing in thermal pools.
