WHAT ARE WE PLANNING? This time, we've decided to organize an unusual, selfless walk. The plan is to take an ultimate round trip around Petrovaradin Fortress and part of the area underneath it! However, unlike previous walks, this time we're accepting donations in the form of sweets, which we'll use to create packages for those who would especially appreciate them.

WHEN ARE WE STARTING? GATHERING AND DEPARTURE AT THE CLOCK ON THE FORTRESS ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 24, 2023, AT 11 A.M.

WHAT'S THE WALK PROGRAM? We'll start the walk in front of one of Novi Sad's symbols, the famous CLOCK, which has been watching over the lives of Novi Sad's residents for centuries, reminding them that time is a passing thing. After a brief introduction to the fortress's history, we'll stroll to the Academy of Arts, behind which hides the entrance to the famous Petrovaradin TUNNELS. We'll have the opportunity to take a short tour through these mysterious labyrinths, where we'll get to glimpse the complexity and genius of their builders. Exiting the tunnels, we'll find ourselves near the former Bastion and proceed to walk along the fortress ramparts, enjoying breathtaking views of the Danube and Novi Sad.

HOW LONG WILL THE WALK LAST? The projected length of the route is about 5 km. To complete it entirely, we'll need about 2 hours of walking, including a few short breaks, making this route excellent for recreational walkers and beginners.

WHAT DO WE USUALLY TAKE FOR HIKING?

• A smile, good spirits, and good health. Masks and gloves aren't mandatory in nature since we'll maintain recommended distancing.
• Minimum 1 liter of water, often more.
• Comfortable and sturdy walking shoes.
• Snacks, sandwiches, fruit, lunch—whatever you desire in nature, you're welcome to eat guilt-free.
• If you have a favorite walking stick, bring it along. If not, nature might reveal your new favorite.
• Cap/hat, sunglasses, sunscreen—whatever you find appropriate.
• Spare/change of clothes.

IMPORTANT NOTES!!!

• THE NUMBER OF REGISTRATIONS FOR THIS TOUR IS LIMITED, SO PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING.
• Since a part of the tour is in the tunnels, BRING A FLASHLIGHT. If someone has claustrophobia, this tour is not recommended.
• The tour is FREE, based on voluntary donations in the form of sweets for children's packages this time.
• Weather conditions generally DO NOT AFFECT our walks, unless severe weather is forecast. It's up to you to decide if the weather conditions suit you.
• The tour is STRONGLY DISCOURAGED for individuals with heart or any other conditions that physical activity could adversely affect.
• Please be PUNCTUAL for the departure time, but on the other hand, don't strictly adhere to the walk's duration since we don't know in advance how our group dynamics will be.
