You know that feeling when you discover a rare gem in an unexpected location? Well, something like that is happening in Bulgaria, not far from Negotin, just across the border! The Belogradchik Fortress, with its unique rock formations, can only be compared to the Meteora in Greece, if they were interspersed with a beautiful deciduous forest... Let's embark on a journey of imagination, where every step is a page of a yet untold fairy tale!

**WHAT’S THE PROGRAM?**
October 11-13, 2024: NOVI SAD – BELGRADE – BELOGRADCHIK FORTRESS – LEPENICA CAVE

**ELEVATION GAIN:** 500 m
**DIFFICULTY:** MEDIUM
Departure on October 11th from NOVI SAD and BELGRADE in the evening (Exact time and place will be announced a few days before the trip) for a leisurely drive towards Bulgaria.
In the early morning hours, we arrive in the small town of Belogradchik and start our hike.
Right from the start, we’ll find ourselves in front of a fortress skillfully merged with the surrounding rocks, with an appearance that will make us wonder, even if just for a moment, whether we are in an episode of Game of Thrones or if this is actually real... After thoroughly exploring the fortress, we continue our hike through a beautiful deciduous forest, interspersed with unique rock formations, where we'll come across a few viewpoints, and the crown of the hike will be a visit to Lepenica Cave, hidden far from casual passersby!
After the hike, there will be a lunch break and a leisurely return back to Serbia.
**WHAT DO WE USUALLY BRING FOR HIKING?**
- A smile, good will, and good health.
- Plenty of water, at least 2L per hike, snacks, refreshments for the climbs and walks ahead.
- Food, fruit, snacks, sweets for the breaks during the hikes.
- Comfortable and sturdy, suitable footwear for hiking in nature.
- If you already have your favorite hiking stick, bring it; if not, nature is where your new favorite is hiding.
- Cap/hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, whatever you think might protect you from the strong sun.
- Spare clothes, warm and dry changes within easy reach after each hike.
- Swimsuit, towel, flip-flops.
**IMPORTANT NOTES!!!**
- The number of registrations will be limited, and ONLY members of the HTS MOUNTAINEERING CLUB (MB:28748817) (Contact us for details regarding membership and purchasing membership stamps for 2024) or any mountaineering club within the PSS will have the right to participate.
- Fee: 2900 RSD (transportation, to be paid to the association’s account upon registration) and 3000 RSD (to be paid during the trip for parking and toll costs).
- The fee does not include the entrance ticket to Belogradchik Fortress, which is 3 EUR.
- The organizers reserve the right to change the program due to unforeseen circumstances, inaccessibility of certain sections, or even cancel the trip.
- Please send us the number of people, their names, phone numbers, and departure location when registering, along with a membership confirmation in our organization. After registration and payment, it will not be possible to cancel the transportation due to the proximity of the event, and therefore, no refunds will be available, but it will be possible to substitute the registered person.
- No travel protection is provided in terms of travel guarantees in accordance with Article 86, paragraph 3 of the Tourism Act.
- This tour is NOT recommended for people with heart conditions or any other ailments that could be adversely affected by physical activity.
- Please be PUNCTUAL and ACCURATE regarding departure times, while we should not strictly adhere to the hiking duration schedule.
