WHAT’S THE WALKING PROGRAM?
We begin our hike at Spomenik Sloboda, the largest monument on Fruška Gora and one of the most popular picnic areas on our beloved mountain.
After a short introduction about the area we are about to explore, we continue toward the recently renovated Venac viewpoint, offering an interesting panoramic view of Novi Sad and its surroundings.
Our easy-going steps will take us partly along a new fitness trail through the forest, where we’ll have the chance to have some fun on the outdoor exercise equipment along the way. We briefly leave the shade while crossing Venac, and soon after re-enter the forest, following a trail that leads us to one of the most photogenic spots of Fruška Gora — the beautiful Ledinačko Lake, where we’ll take a break and enjoy the scenery.
After resting and refreshing ourselves, we head back toward Partizanski put and Ruben’s Circle, an exceptionally pleasant trail for hikers and walkers, entirely within the forest. Here, the sunlight fiercely competes to break through the dense tree canopies that reign above us. A mix of descents and ascents makes the walk dynamic and interesting, yet not overly demanding.
We will follow the winding dance of Jermuš Stream along a section of the trail named after a great nature lover and admirer of Fruška Gora, Mr. Ruben. Vitino Spring will be one of our refreshment points before the ascent that awaits us.
After leaving the forest shade, we rejoin the famous Partizanski put, which leads us to the Tourist Info Center at Iriški Venac. From there, we return to the forest path, pass by the former “Vojvodina” mountain lodge, and finish our hike where it all began — at Spomenik Sloboda.

HOW LONG DOES THE WALK LAST?
The planned route is approximately 13 km long, with about 80% of the walk through pleasant forest shade along relatively gentle trails, including a few moderately demanding ascents.
To complete the route, we will need between 5 and 6 hours, taking into account that we won’t rush and that we’ll allow ourselves proper breaks for rest, refreshments, and enjoying nature — along with stories from your guide.
The hike is suitable for recreational walkers as well as beginners who are ready for a bit of a challenge.

HOW TO REACH THE STARTING POINT?
•If you are coming by car from Novi Sad / Sremska Kamenica, at Iriški Venac turn slightly left toward the Tourist Info Center, continue uphill, pass the former “Vojvodina” mountain lodge, and after a few hundred meters you will reach the parking area at Spomenik Sloboda.
•If you are coming from Ruma / Irig, at Iriški Venac turn right toward the Tourist Info Center, then continue uphill to the parking lot at Spomenik Sloboda.
•For those without transportation, or those willing to share a ride and split fuel costs, you can search on Facebook for our group called “Hajd na hajk,” created for nature lovers to more easily organize hiking trips together.

WHAT DO WE USUALLY BRING ON A HIKE?
•A smile, good vibes, and good health. Masks and gloves are not required in nature, as we will maintain recommended distancing.
•At least 1 liter of water (usually more).
•Comfortable and sturdy walking shoes.
•Snacks, sandwiches, fruit, lunch — feel free to enjoy your food without guilt on our hikes.
•If you already have your favorite hiking pole, bring it along. If not, nature might help you find a new favorite one.
•Cap/hat, sunglasses, sunscreen — whatever you find necessary.
•Spare/change clothes — warm and dry layers.

IMPORTANT NOTES
•The number of participants will be limited this time, so please send us a message with the number of people you wish to register.
•The tour is NOT paid upon registration. It is donation-based. At the end of the hike, you will have the opportunity to reward our guides with a donation in an amount you feel reflects the value of the experience.
•WEATHER CONDITIONS generally DO NOT affect our hikes unless severe storms are forecasted. It is up to you to assess whether the weather conditions suit you.
•The tour is NOT recommended for persons with heart conditions or any other medical issues that could be negatively affected by physical activity.
•Please be PRECISE AND PUNCTUAL regarding departure time. At the same time, we won’t strictly adhere to the exact finishing time, as group dynamics may vary.
•We kindly ask all participants to bring only positive energy, a cheerful spirit, and good mood.
