The most beautiful forest beyond the Drina River, the heart of Bosnia. Romanija awaits us with open arms, ready to offer us the warmest green embrace. Of course, that's not all; the next day awaits us with a magnificent view of Tara and the most famous meander of the Drina, from a perspective we're not quite used to!

WHAT'S THE ITINERARY?

November 22nd - 23th, 2024: NOVI SAD - BELGRADE - ROMANIJA (Hike to Veliki Lupoglav)

ROUTE LENGTH: 14km

ELEVATION GAIN: 400m

DIFFICULTY: MODERATE

Departure shortly after midnight on the night between Friday and Saturday from Novi Sad and Belgrade.

In the morning hours, we arrive at the mountaineering lodge Crvene stijene, which will be the starting point of our Romanija hike!

We'll embark on a beautiful route during which we'll encounter surreal coniferous forests and ridge sections with splendid views stretching endlessly. It will be a true walking meditation, a portal to a world where we are happy and serene.

After completing the hike, enriched by this experience, we'll head to the accommodation to rest and prepare for tomorrow's adventure!

November 24th, 2024: NATIONAL PARK DRINA (Hike to Pogledala viewpoint) - BELGRADE - NOVI SAD

ROUTE LENGTH: 11km

ELEVATION GAIN: 400m

DIFFICULTY: MODERATE

In the morning hours, we'll embark on a drive to NATIONAL PARK DRINA and a beautiful hike.

This time our goal will be to reach the POGLEDALA viewpoint, offering a splendid view of Tara and its most isolated part, as well as the Drina River embracing this beauty of ours. A breathtaking sight!

We'll return to the bus via the same trail, then journey back to Belgrade and Novi Sad.

WHAT USUALLY DO WE BRING FOR HIKING?

• A smile, good spirits, and good health.
• Plenty of water, minimum 2L per hike, snacks from the backpack for multiple meals, refreshments for the ascents and hikes that await us.
• Comfortable and sturdy, appropriate footwear for nature walks, comfortable clothing.
• If you already have your favorite stick, bring it along, and if not, nature is the one hiding your new favorite.
• Cap/hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, whatever you think would protect you in case of strong sun.
• Raincoat, spare/change of clothes, warm and dry cover within reach, after each walk.

IMPORTANT NOTES!!!

• The number of applications will be limited, and the right to attend the trip is EXCLUSIVELY reserved for members of the HTS MOUNTAINEERING SOCIETY (Contact us for details regarding membership and purchase of 2024 stamps) or any mountaineering society within the PSS
• Registration fee: 2900 RSD (Transportation, to be paid to the association upon registration) and 50 eur (To be paid during the trip for accommodation expenses, parking fees, tolls).
• Organizers reserve the right to change the program due to unforeseen circumstances, the inability to access certain sections, or even cancellation of the trip.
• Please provide the number of people, their names, phone numbers, and the departure location when registering, along with confirmation of membership in our organization. After registration and payment, it will be impossible to cancel transportation and accommodation due to the proximity of the event, and therefore, no refund will be possible, but a potential replacement of the registered person will be allowed.
• For this trip, travel insurance coverage in accordance with Article 86, paragraph 3 of the Tourism Law is not provided.
• The tour is NOT RECOMMENDED for individuals with heart or any other conditions that physical activity may adversely affect.
• Please be PRECISE AND PUNCTUAL regarding the departure time, but on the other hand, let's not strictly adhere to the duration schedule of the walk.
