WHAT ARE WE PLANNING?
Somewhere in the heart of Slovakia, there is a vast forest, slightly separated from the main Tatra massif. It is said to be so rich in water that it is nearly impossible to explore every single stream, waterfall, and brook hidden within. The Slovaks, known as some of the world's most active hikers and nature lovers, have explored much of this place, installing various platforms, ladders, and other aids in the more inaccessible sections to ensure safe passage. Thanks to their efforts, this place has become a paradise for those who enjoy this type of trail. And that’s exactly what they named it—Slovak Paradise! Let’s explore it…
SLOVAK PARADISE

ELEVATION GAIN: 500 m
DIFFICULTY: Moderate
Departure from Belgrade and Novi Sad during the night from Friday to Saturday (exact time and location will be announced a few days before departure), followed by a comfortable drive to Slovakia.
In the morning, we will arrive in the small village of Čingov, the starting point of our hike. The first part follows the Honrad River, along a gentle and scenic trail. In the second part, the canyon narrows, leading us into a true adventure, featuring footbridges and metal platforms skillfully built into the vertical cliffs.
After completing the canyon section, the trail continues toward Tomašovský Viewpoint, considered the most spectacular viewpoint in the entire national park. The rocks around the viewpoint are smooth and flat, making them perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking panorama. From here, we can see the entirety of Slovak Paradise, with its dense coniferous forests crisscrossed by numerous streams and rivers—a view to remember!
After the hike, we will head to our accommodation in Hrabušice or the surrounding area.

DIFFICULTY: Moderate
We will pack our things, board the bus, and continue exploring Slovak Paradise National Park.
After a short drive, we will embark on a hike through the most famous canyon of Slovak Paradise—Suchá Belá! This area is an adventure playground, as we will spend the first half of the hike navigating through the canyon, constantly crossing various platforms and ladders while marveling at numerous waterfalls and fast-flowing streams beneath us.
To wrap up, we will take a break for lunch and bid farewell to this stunning mountain beauty before heading back to Belgrade and Novi Sad.

✔ Raincoat, spare clothes, warm and dry change of clothing ready for after each hike
🚨 The number of participants is limited. Only members of the HTS Mountaineering Society (MB:28748817) (contact us for membership details and 2025 membership card purchase) or any other mountaineering society affiliated with the PSS are eligible to join.
