WHAT’S THE ITINERARY?
NOVEMBER 7-8, 2024: BELGRADE - NOVI SAD - PRAGUE (DIVOKA ŠARKA)
ROUTE LENGTH: 10 km
ELEVATION GAIN: 300 m
DIFFICULTY: Moderate
Depart from Belgrade and Novi Sad in the evening (exact time and place will be announced a few days before departure) and travel to the Czech Republic.
We arrive in the early morning hours in a suburb of Prague and start a light morning hike through the forest known as Divoka Šarka. We will enjoy a lovely walk along the Šarecky stream and pass through its canyon. A little water, a few bridges, and some wooden paths through the meadows—everything we need for happiness...
After the hike, we’ll check into our rooms and relax, with the potential to enjoy the culinary delights of the Czech capital...
NOVEMBER 9, 2024: PRAGUE - PRAVČICKA GATE - BASTEI BRIDGE (OPTIONAL)
ROUTE LENGTH: 4 km + 4.5 km
ELEVATION GAIN: 200 m + 200 m
DIFFICULTY: Easy + Easy
After breakfast, we leave the accommodation and head to the highest sandstone arch in Europe! Beautiful enough to serve as a location for filming Narnia! The view towards it is breathtaking, and we may be left wondering if this is all real for quite some time!
Next, we head to the incredible Bastei Bridge and the second part of today’s magic... Let the Elbe River flow beneath us in all its glory, and we will pause for a second and give thanks for all the beauty it has provided us!
After the tour, we return to Prague. Overnight stay.
NOVEMBER 10, 2024: PRAGUE – ADRŠPACH-TEPLICE ROCKS (OPTIONAL)
ROUTE LENGTH: 15 km
ELEVATION GAIN: 500 m
DIFFICULTY: Moderate
After breakfast, our adventure begins. We will drive to the largest rock labyrinth in the Czech Republic! Thousands of rock towers interspersed with beautiful coniferous forests will leave us breathless! Of course, it wouldn’t be complete if the Czechs hadn’t enhanced it with stone gates, small bridges, wooden, and metal platforms to make everything even more attractive!
After the hike, we’ll return to our accommodation for an overnight stay.
NOVEMBER 11-12, 2024: PRAGUE - STONE SCULPTURES NEAR ŽELIZY – NOVI SAD - BELGRADE
ROUTE LENGTH: 5 km
ELEVATION GAIN: 100 m
DIFFICULTY: Easy
In the early morning, we drive to the small town of Želizy, where a forest full of hidden stone sculptures of various local gods and mythical creatures, as well as caves adorned with interesting reliefs, awaits us... Let's immerse ourselves in the world of imagination and myths and expect the unexpected!
Afterwards, we will begin a leisurely return to Serbia, marking the end of the program.
WHAT TO USUALLY BRING FOR HIKING?
- A smile, good will, and good health.
- Plenty of water, at least 2L per hike, snacks from the backpack for multiple meals, and refreshments for the ascents and walks ahead of us.
- Comfortable and sturdy footwear suitable for nature walks, and comfortable clothing.
- If you already have your favorite hiking stick, bring it; if not, nature hides your new favorite one.
- A cap/hat/beanie, sunglasses, sunscreen, or whatever you think might protect you in case of strong sun.
- A raincoat, spare/change clothes, warm and dry layers within reach after each hike.
IMPORTANT NOTES!!!
- The number of registrations will be limited, and only members of the MOUNTAINEERING ASSOCIATION HTS (MB:28748817) (Contact us for details regarding membership and purchase of marks for 2024) or any mountaineering association within the PSS are eligible to participate in the trip.
- Fee: 13,900 RSD (Accommodation: 3x nights with breakfast, payable to the association’s account upon registration) and 100€ (Payable during the trip for transportation costs, entrance fees, parking, and tolls)
- The city tax in Prague is not included in the fee and is 2.2€ per night (Payable at the hotel reception)
- Optional hikes are PRAVČICKA GATE AND BASTEI BRIDGE (Cost is 30€, including guiding, transportation, entrance fees, and parking) and ADRŠPACH-TEPLICE ROCKS (Cost is 30€, including guiding, transportation, entrance fees, and parking)
- The organizers reserve the right to change the program due to unforeseen circumstances, inaccessibility of certain sections, or even cancel the trip.
- Please send us the number of people, their names, phone numbers, and the place of departure when registering, along with confirmation of membership in our organization. Due to the proximity of the event, after registration and payment, it will not be possible to cancel transportation and accommodation, and therefore, a refund will not be possible. However, a potential replacement of the registered person will be possible.
- This trip does not provide travel protection in terms of travel guarantees in accordance with Article 86, Paragraph 3 of the Tourism Law.
- The tour is NOT recommended for people with heart or any other conditions that may be adversely affected by physical activity.
- Please be PRECISE AND ACCURATE regarding departure times, but on the other hand, do not stick too rigidly to the hiking schedule.
